The Tamar Rowing Club boatshed houses an impressive fleet of boats, covering all boat classes from singles through to pairs/doubles, fours/quads and eights. Storage is also available at request for those wanting to store private sculls.
Our gymnasium is fully equipped to cater for all fitness needs. The gym houses rowing ergometers, 45-degree leg press, lifting platform and weight racks, cable machine, Watt bike, free weights, benches and fitballs.
Access to the Tamar River is by private pontoon featuring the latest Poralu design, which allows easy access for launching and retrieving boats in a wide range of tidal conditions. The pontoon has the capability of being swung out of the way in times of flooding. The club's facilities also cater for a small number of kayak and surf ski members. The clubrooms are a modern purpose-built facility with a large indoor space for hosting club events and fundraisers, and boasts a large deck, with views overlooking the Tamar River and Launceston City.
Completed in 2018 the brand new Tamar Rowing club rooms overlook the Tamar River and Royal Park. The clubrooms are built above flood height and offer club members a modern space to gather and enjoy social occasions. The clubrooms, commercial kitchen and fully fitted out bar are available for use by members for private functions.
There are accessible and ambulant toilet facilities and the clubrooms can be accessed using the 5 person mobility lift.
